There's strawberry in the mix

My bosses daughter was holding a bake sale downstairs where I work to raise money for a charity and asked me if I could bake some cupcakes to sell. I was happy to make some and decided to try and have a go at putting real fruit in the buttercream.

I am a big fan of strawberries and wondered if I could make a real strawberry and cream frosting. I followed the buttercream part of the below recipe and was super happy with the results.

Only the pink part had the strawberry in it as I didn't want it to be overpowering but it turned out really tasty when eaten altogether on the cake....or out of the mixing bowl with a spoon; whichever takes your fancy.
