My cousin Emma's little girl Maddie had her Christening coming up so she asked if I could do the cakes for it. She told me the color she wanted was pink and purple so that is what I worked I with.
I had seen these beautiful delicate looking cakes on Pinterest and they were so simple to do. A little bit of buttercream, and circle of fondant, a cute flower and a lacy cupcake wrapper and BOOM gorgeous looking cakes. I did buy the roses and ribbons for these from eBay but if I had put some thought into it I could defiantly made them.

I did half of the fondant cakes and half butter cream. Simple pink buttercream with a few pearl accents. I did this also for the main cake of the arrangement.
I think this was when I realized that the Wilton 1M tip will forever be my friend for awesome looking cupcakes. Until then I had what ever came out of the local poundstore.

(You can see from the picture above just how small my kitchen was. What you see...that was it!!)
I got someone to make the little cake banner from eBay but it really made the whole arrangement look so cute and perfect for a party for a little girl.
